120 Mini Sled Rules and Guidelines

There will be mini sled racing both Saturday and Sunday. The mini racers will race during the main race intermission. This usually occurs between 12:30 and 1:30. Intermission times vary because of track conditions. We will try to be as close to 1:00 as possible.

Racers should enter and park in the racer pit parking area. Unload the sled and proceed to the hot pits. Once you enter the hot pit area, please leave the sled immediately  to the right, all the way toward the corner. This is where registration  will occur. It is NOT safe to have children in the hot pit area interacting with the pro racers.

Approximately 30 minutes before the main race intermission, it will be announced over the P. A. that mini sled registration will start. Someone will come to the hot pit area where all the mini sleds are parked and do registration right there. The registration fee is $10.

When everyone is registered, and only then, the sleds will be taken as a group to the staging area at the track starting line. Sleds will go to the start line 4 at a time and run down the track.

There are NO separate classes for the sleds. We will try to match racers by sled and age as much as possible. The sleds will go down the track and return to the prerace staging area via the track return lane. At the end of the return lane or in the staging area, ALL racers will receive a trophy. We want this experience  to be positive and fun, no matter where a racer finishes on the track. Parents are welcome to take pictures at the starting line or can be on the end of the track to meet their child.
If there are questions, please e-mail Mike
