Follow the Birds to Trailside Rendezvous

January 23, 2023 by Bruce Blye

There I am, rolling out of bed, feet firmly planted on the cold wooden floor. The thought of frost between the toes had awaken me. I’m headed over to the stove to put the gas burner on for the morning ritual of creating a spoon-standing, smooth but rich, perked coffee brew in the forever coffee-stained pot. On the way to the stove, I can’t but notice the outside temperature on the digital … [Read more...] about Follow the Birds to Trailside Rendezvous

Cooking on the Snowmobile Trail

Whoa! Hey stop for a minute, hold up? Either we’ve been riding too long this morning without a break or you have some two-stroke oil that smells like coffee. Is that some new hybrid, synthetic coffee scented two-stroke oil you have in your sled?  Hey, you’re right, I smell it too… and now that we are stopped, is someone cooking hot tortillas on the snowmobile trail? Ginger snaps around a bon fire

You don’t like ginger snaps? Hmmm, I’ll get to that in a moment… So, you have decided to get away with friends/family on a snowmobile outing, maybe even with your local club. Choices…where do you go? Follow the snow of course but if you have it in your back yard, why not just stay home and ride locally? Humor me for a moment, please. Ride Local and Have Fun A lot can be said about riding out … [Read more...] about You Don’t Like Ginger Snaps?

Snowmobile Trailside Cooking

December 15, 2017 by Bruce Blye

Snowmobile Trailside Cooking.

I have always enjoyed cooking in my home, outside while camping, for friends, and of course, snowmobile trailside cooking. There is something to be said about cooking a meal on the trail, in the middle of winter, snow everywhere, wind whipping and sub-zero temperatures. Am I nuts? No way! There is a small breed of trailside cooks out there that enjoy this great therapy, as it might be called. … [Read more...] about Snowmobile Trailside Cooking

New, Used, Refurbish?
Your sled needs work and you've been considering an upgrade. However the supply chain and economic picture has made the decision more complicated. Do you fix the sled or buy something else?
