Is NHSA a Government Agency?

No. NHSA (National Highway Safety Administration) is not a government agency. We are a private, state-approved provider of online driver education courses and exams that help students meet their licensing or training requirements. NHSA is approved by the appropriate state authorities to offer courses such as TLSAE, BDI, Parent-Taught Drivers Ed, Defensive Driving, and other driver safety programs.

Because our name is similar to the federal agency NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), people sometimes confuse the two. However, we are not affiliated with NHTSA or any federal or state government entity. All courses offered through NHSA are delivered by our private organization and meet state standards for online driver education.

Our goal is to make driver training simple, convenient, and accessible for students—while maintaining full compliance with the state agencies that regulate driver education.
