Over 45,000 Attend NH Snowmobile Race

2018 Race Into Winter – the official kick-start to the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association’s season, has once again proven to be an exciting mix of grass drag racing, watercross, freestyle shows, food, and great deals on sleds and apparel. The Biggest-BaddestSnowmobile Event in the World has become a tradition for snowmobilers in the Northeast region of the United States and Canada to attend on Columbus Day weekend event.

Snowmobile Race Action

Snowmobile racers competed on grass and water all three days, with amateur grass drags racing on Friday night. The fastest speed recorded for the weekend was 116.1 mph on an Arctic Cat.

Eastern Watercross Association holds their final snowmobile race of the season here, with amateur, semi pro, and pro racers all taking to the pond to see where they will finish in points.

NELMRA brought their final race back to Fremont. These are not your average lawnmowers!

Our kid zone is a big hit-especially the free 120 track – as the little ones throttle their way around the hay bales. Over 1,000 children got to ride the mini snowmobiles. The smiles on their faces tell it all.

The snowmobile freestyle skills of Rave X crew was once again a crowd pleaser-their stunts are well thought out and practiced, and should not be tried at home!

Positive Snowmobile Economy

Tents were brimming with great deals on sleds, clothing, and accessories from snowmobile dealers here in New Hampshire and across the country. Manufacturer’s row was crowded all weekend as people caught sight of what the Big-Four had to offer this season. Food vendors were well stocked and busy from opening until the last spectator left.

Over 45,000 Attend NH Snowmobile Race

The weather is always an important factor, and the warm October days welcomed thousands to Peterson’s Brookvale Farm. A little rain late Sunday afternoon proved no match for the crowds, as shown by over 45,000 in attendance!

Attendance Breakdown

Friday: 6,698 – Saturday: 25,179 – Sunday: 13,225

We at the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association wish to thank all who have had a part in this great event, including our volunteer support staff!
